Dinesh Singh Rawat is a distinguished legal professional and the driving force behind DSR Law, a full-service law firm he founded in 2014. A passionate advocate of justice and legal reform, Mr. Rawat’s journey into law began with a deep-rooted commitment to understanding the intricacies of India’s justice system. His early career as a research journalist in 2010 provided him with a rare perspective on the structural challenges and philosophical foundations of Indian law, especially its colonial lineage and procedural complexities.
Guided by a vision to contribute meaningfully to the legal landscape, Mr. Rawat transitioned into legal practice and completed his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in 2014. The same year, he laid the foundation for DSR Law—a firm built not just on legal expertise but on a powerful belief: “Justice is everybody’s first natural right.”
Since its inception, DSR Law has grown into a trusted name across multiple jurisdictions, actively representing clients in District Courts, Tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India. Under Mr. Rawat’s leadership, the firm has handled a wide range of matters spanning criminal, civil, service, environmental, immigration, and intellectual property law. What sets DSR Law apart is its unique client-centric approach, where each case is treated as a personal mission, demanding diligence, compassion, and strategic clarity.

As the Senior Partner and CEO, Mr. Rawat’s vision for DSR Law extends beyond courtrooms. He is keen to evolve the firm into a hub for legal innovation by integrating professionals from journalism, academia, and social sciences into mainstream legal practice. This blend of analytical rigour and courtroom acumen positions DSR Law as a modern legal institution committed not just to winning cases, but to reshaping how justice is accessed and delivered in India.
Karan Dinesh Singh R. is a forward-thinking legal professional currently serving as a Partner at DSR Law, where he leads the firm’s corporate law practice. Based out of GIFT City, Gujarat, Karan oversees a dynamic team delivering tailored legal solutions to businesses operating in high-growth and highly regulated sectors. His focus lies in crafting legal strategies that not only ensure compliance but also catalyze business growth.
In his role at the firm, Karan is also spearheading the creation of a new legal entity focused on supporting companies established in GIFT City — India’s first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). His work involves the integration of regulatory frameworks with practical business insights to serve the unique legal needs of companies operating in finance, fintech, and cross-border commerce.
Beyond his corporate legal practice, Karan brings a strong commitment to legal reform and environmental governance. He is a Board Trustee at the Association for Judicial Reforms India (AJRI), where he has contributed to policy research and strategic planning to enhance the efficiency and transparency of India’s judicial system. His association with AJRI spans over seven years, beginning as an intern and progressing through various impactful roles.
Karan is also the founder of The Peepal, an independent think tank that unites environmental lawyers, carbon credit experts, and sustainability strategists to develop solutions for green growth. Though he has transitioned from day-to-day leadership, he remains actively engaged in its mission.
His editorial and analytical skills are reflected in his previous tenure as Director at ABC Live, where he led research-driven journalism on law, international affairs, and geopolitical issues, fostering public discourse on global legal challenges.
Karan holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from CCS University and is completing his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Sustainability Studies at TERI School of Advanced Studies. He has further honed his legal acumen through advanced training in International Finance Law at Harvard Law School, specializing in policy, regulation, and cross-border transactions.
